The Longest Journey

The Longest Journey is a PC point-and-click adventure game which I have been playing of late. Although it was first published in 1999, it is definitely rich in graphics and details, and the gameplay is absolutely amazing.
Just because it was made in 1999 doesn't necessarily mean that the graphics would be crap. Because it was all hand drawn back then, the graphics and the FMV sequences are comparable to more recent games.
Gamespot called it "one of the best adventure games in years" and had won the Adventure Game of the Year 2000 in both Gamespot and IGN.
A synopsis from wiki:
The game takes place in the parallel universes of Arcadia, a world of magic, and Stark, a world of science and technology. The protagonist, April Ryan, is an 18-year-old art student living in Stark. She learns that the line between the two worlds is growing thin, causing chaos on both sides. April also learns that she is a "Shifter", one who is capable of walking between these worlds, and is then tasked with restoring the Balance between the dimensions before it is too late. Both Gamespot and IGN gave it an Outstanding rating of 9.3 of 10.
Now, would you excuse me as I get back to my game? I'm not even halfway through the 30 over hour long game.
